Association of Music Educators - AMUSE
: Formerly known as the Victorian Schools' Music Association (VSMA), this organization is open to all music educators and those interested in music education. aMuse organizes professional development programs for primary, secondary and instrumental music teachers, produces student performance activities including master classes and festivals, and can provide independent advice on curriculum matters.

Association for Popular Music Education: The mission of the Association for Popular Music Education (APME) is to promote and advance popular music at all levels of education both in the classroom and beyond. APME was created to advocate for popular music education and its advancement as a discipline. It provides educational opportunities for teachers and students, honors the rich history of popular music, and develops innovative ways to create, perform, and teach it.

Education Through Music: Education Through Music was founded to promote the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and general development. At ETM, we believe that every child deserves a well-rounded education: one that includes music. Unfortunately, many schools, especially those serving children in low-income communities, provide no music instruction or rely solely on short-term programs that do not serve every student. ETM created a comprehensive program that incorporates music into the education of every child, including those with special needs.

International Society for Music Education
: ISME is a worldwide organization that seeks to celebrate the diverse ways that people engage with, and develop in and through, music. Founded in 1953, ISME represents an international, interdisciplinary, intercultural network of professionals who strive to understand and promote music learning across the lifespan.

MajoringInMusic.com: MajoringInMusic.com provides the tools and guidance needed to empower smart decisions and choices about majoring in music and establishing a viable career in the arts. Music Unites: Music Unites partners with music stars, celebrity ambassadors and music sponsors to promote music projects and events at local schools - helping to educate kids through the power music. National Association of Music Parents: The National Association of Music Parents (AMP) is dedicated to building a grassroots national movement that brings together all stakeholders of music education to defend the interests of our students. Our goal is to ensure that music and the arts remain an integral discipline within the core education system in America.

National Association for Music Education: National Association for Music Education (NAfME), among the world's largest arts education organizations, is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers. The Association orchestrates success for millions of students nationwide and has supported music educators at all teaching levels for more than a century. Since 1907, NAfME has worked to ensure that every student has access to a well-balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality program of music instruction taught by qualified teachers.

NAMM: NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), refers to the organization's popular NAMM trade shows. NAMM is a non-profit association that promotes the pleasures and benefits of making music and strengthens the $17 billion global music products industry. Their website and annual trade shows in Nashville/TN and Anaheim/CA offer a wealth of music education resources that help to strengthen the music community.

National Band Association: The National Band Association (NBA) is the largest professional organization for bands in the world. It was organized for the purpose of promoting the musical and educational significance of bands and is dedicated to the attainment of a high level of excellence for bands and band music. We are open to anyone and everyone interested in bands, regardless of the length of experience, type of position held, or the specific level at which one works.

VH-1 Save the Music: Founded in 1997, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating systemic change in the American public school system by restoring instrumental music programs and by raising public awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education. Since it's beginnings, the organization has provided $48 million in new musical instruments to 1,800 public schools in more than 100 cities around the United States.

American Music Therapy Association
The purpose of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) is the progressive development of the therapeutic use of music in rehabilitation, special education, and community settings. Predecessors of AMTA, unified in 1998, include the National Association for Music Therapy founded in 1950 and the American Association for Music Therapy founded in 1971. AMTA is committed to the advancement of education, training, professional standards, credentials, and research in support of the music therapy profession.

World Federation of Music Therapy The World Federation of Music Therapy (WFMT) is an international organization bringing together music therapy associations and individuals interested in developing and promoting music therapy globally through the exchange of information, collaboration among professionals, and actions. Founded in 1985 in Genoa, Italy, it is the only worldwide professional organization representing music therapy in many areas of the world.

Institute for Music and Neurologic Function Through the scientific exploration of music and the brain, The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF) seeks to establish new knowledge and to develop more effective music therapy treatments to awaken, stimulate and heal through the extraordinary power of music. Music and Memory MUSIC & MEMORY works to vastly improve the quality of lives of the elderly and infirm by bringing personalized music into their lives. The Certification Board for Music Therapists Music therapy is the specialized use of music by a credentialed professional who develops individualized treatment and supportive interventions for people of all ages and ability levels to address their social, communication, emotional, physical, cognitive, sensory and spiritual needs. CBMT is the only organization to certify music therapists to practice music therapy nationally. Its MT-BC program has been fully accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) since 1986. Over 6,400 music therapists currently maintain the MT-BC credential and participate in a program of recertification designed to measure or enhance competence in the profession of music therapy

British Association for Music Therapy The British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT), replaced the Association of Professional Music Therapists and British Society for Music Therapy in April 2011. Our organization provides both practitioners and non-practitioners with information, professional support, and training opportunities that advance the usage and effectiveness of music therapy.

Canadian Association for Music Therapy The mission of the Canadian Association for Music Therapy is to promote excellence in music therapy practice, education, research and development; to increase access to high quality music therapy services; to further the awareness of music therapy in Canada and to serve as an organizational agency for its members.
