Wednesday May 7th - Happy Cinco de Mayo (plus 2 :))
Okay I'm off by a couple days but at least I was close.
Honestly I'm not even sure what the Cinco de Mayo celebration pertains too but I'll be sure to look it up next year.
We didn't get the real blog launched yet but will have our first post next Monday. Here's whats going on thiiiis week
American Idol - Jason Castro your time is way over done. Yes girls I know he's cute but his voice was never very strong and
his lack of experience is coming through all too well. He's lucky to have made it to the Final 4 and he'll hopefully get a nice career
launch when its all over. Its funny although I've been a big fan of David Cook I'm wondering if he's going to be the winner. He has
done some great work with song arrangement choices and performances over the last two months but momentum is definitely shifting towards the
younger David. No doubt we'll see a David vs. David matchup in the finals and will be fun to see where it goes.
Artist Pages - We've finally launched our first group of Love Song Artist Pages.
Its a great way to find the lyrics for you favorite artists. You can now also submit new and corrected lyrics to us at Lyrics Submit
Voting Polls - We did post our April winners last week and they were "Lost" by Michael Buble and "Teardrops on my Guitar" by Taylor Swift.
Charts were reset with new songs added please check it out at Love Songs Voting
Wedding - Our Wedding Section updates will start on Friday and continue all month. We'll also be posting links to some of our favorite
Wedding Blogs across the land where you can learn lots of great tips for planning your wedding.
LoveSongs.com Newsletter - Our May newsletter will go out tomorrow/Thursday...if you're not on the list to receive it then please click on
Newsletter Signup and we'll add ya to the list.
That's all for now..check back on Monday May 12th for our first real blog entry where you can actually write back to us. Have a great week and will ttttalk soon!

Wednesday April 30th, 2008 - Almost MAYYYY
Well its got to be a record...5 blog entries in one month...incredible!!! :) As promised the train is moving quickly
and I hope you are enjoying the ride. Here's my notes for this week plus my comments on Idol week with Neil Diamond.
American Idol - Well I am a big fan of Neil Diamond and his tunes but this week overall was very boring with the exception of Paula's miscue (Jason Castro had
only done one song so far and she was critiquing his 2nd song for at least a minute before they finally stopped her :)). I think what was missing from most of last
nights performances was any real artistry...my favs for the night were David Cook (a true artist) and Syesha (the girl can sing and will probably end up on Broadway)
Tonight we'll see who gets canned and my guess is it will be Jason or Syesha (should actually be Brooke or Jason)
Voting Polls - Get your last minute votes in we'll be updating the charts tomorrow nite (yep May 1st can you believe it!). We've
had a record number of folks voting this month hope your joining in the fun at Love Song Voting
Wedding Section - Stay tuned for our first Wedding section updates next week
BLOG - Stay tuned for our first real BLOG next week
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to US!! - Did I mention that LoveSongs.com is 8 Years old tomorrow May 1st. Lots of updates coming in May so
please keep checking back.
That's all folks...hope your having a grrreat week and stay tuned for another update next week.
~Vincent James
Wednesday April 23rd, 2008 - Spring is finally Sprung
Woo hoo spring has finally sprung...we hit 80 the other day and it felt gggood. Unless your living north of the border your starting to
feel it too so enjoy!
American Idol - Well that was a different twist...pop star candidates singing Broadway tunes.
Definitely Syesha hit it out of the park while the others all paled in comparison. It was really interesting to see Brooke White restart her song after forgetting the
lyrics. As a performer myself I know she really didn't have any choice...otherwise she could have gone through half the song before picking it up again. That being said its
definitely a bad thing to do on live TV...you've got to have those lyrics solid. We'll check out tonight and see if she survives another week. I'm still rooting for my favorites David Cook and Carly Smithson though I'm
suspecting we'll see a David vs. David in the finals. Visit our American Idol Poll in our Voting section
to tell us your favorite.
Idol Song & YouTube Video - Check out my entry to the Idol Song contest at "I Am The One"
If your or someone you know is a YouTube junkie take a shot at making a video for "I Am The One" and email us a link. We'll post our favorites durign AI Finals week and let our visitors vote.
Wedding Section - We're in the process of giving the Wedding Music section a complete makeover. Look for a relaunch the first week in May just in time for the big wedding season.
That's all folks...hope your having a great week and stay tuned for another update next week.
~Vincent James
Wednesday April 16th, 2008 - April Showers
Well they say its spring but outside this morning its still a chilly 40 degrees...maybe next week the real spring will arrive :)
Did ya watch AI last night...did you remember to Vote so Michael Johns wouldn't go home (wait too late :)). Each week at 8 PM I'm usually still working or
helping the kids get to bed..so we tape the show and watch it around 10 PM and vote vote at the end before time runs out. Although I didn't enjoy David Cook's
version of "Always be My Baby" as much as the judges did he is still the front runner for me. Nothing against the other David....the Cook version is just a more mature artist
thanks to his age and experience and will have a much better chance at becoming a real star in the short term. If you missed voting last night you can still vote for your
favorite AI Singer at Vote for Favorites.
Lyrics, Lyrics, Lyrics - We've added a ton of lyrics over the last couple weeks and are now up to 1500 Song Lyrics and growing!
Soon you'll be able to submit new and corrected lyrics directly to us..stay tuned!
Well I finally realized that I've been calling this a BLOG when in reality its not because there are no comments allowed. Look for that to change in May as we launch a real
blog where you can comment back on anything.
That's all for this week...have a great week and try if you can to get involved in Earth Day by visiting EarthDay.net. No matter what side of the global warming debate you are on I think
we all can agree we need to take better care of the planet we live on!
~Vincent James

Tuesday April 1st, 2008 - April FOOLs Love
Happy Spring to All!
We all know there's no such thing as April FOOLs Love...we can be a fool for love just about anytime of year :) Well its been a crazy couple months for me and now that things are finally settling down new updates will start moving forward again. Here's some of the cool news from
Feb and March:
- February Winner - We picked a winner for LoveSongs Project for February and it was none other than Barb from Millersport, Ohio. Barb's favorite artist is Stevie Ray Vaughn (what an amazing guitar player Stevie is) and she will receive an Free ITunes Gift card
for participating in the LoveSongs Project. We will be picking a winner for March very shortly and will post it up in next weeks blog (yes believe it or not there will be another blog next week).
- American Idol Song - Well this year I decided to write and record an inpirational song specifically for American Idol. With any luck it will be picked for the Top 20 and then the public will get to vote. Either way I'll be posting the song called "I Am The One"
by April 10th so you all can hear it.
- American Idol Singers - Well they're down to the final 9 and for me I was sorry to see Chickezie go..he was definitely too talented to go so soon. Hopefully we'll be seeing much more of him once the season and tour are over.
- Love Song Lyrics - We'll be continuing to increase the love song lyric section every month now so please keep checking back for more additions.
- Love Song Project - Due to some technical difficulties we are putting the project on hold for the moment. We hope to bring it back later this spring when we have all of our computer ducks in a row. Thanks so much for all of your submissions to date which are saved in
our current database.
That's all I've got for April Fool's week...stay tuned for another Blog update next Monday..until then enjoy your week and Happy SPRINGGGG!
p.s. If you haven't pranked someone yet today your running out of time (its now 9 PM EST) so hurry up :)
~Vincent James
Monday Feb 4th, 2008 - Love Songs Project - 1st Winner!!
Happy Valentines Month All!
Hard to believe February is here already and what an amazing Super Bowl yesterday. I'm from Philadelphia so we don't usually root for the
New York Giants but someone needed to knock the Patriots off their pedestal. The Giants had both the hunger and the heart of a champion and champions
find a way to win.
Alright enough about football there is lots going on with with Love Songs this month heck its Valentines month...Here's the scoop::
- Love Song Project - We launched this crazy project 3 weeks ago and have received dozens of entries so far. We had our first monthly winner Debbie from Ohio who will
receive a $ 25 ITunes Gift Card this week. To recap we are now collecting the song title, songwriter and artist for every Love Song that has ever been written. Yes you read that right. We are looking
for every Love Song that has ever been written and released to the public since the dawn of music. This year 2008 we will start collecting English-language only songs to get our feet wet with this project and
starting in Jan 2009 we will start collecting songs from all nations. As you can imagine this is going to be a huge undertaking and we're going to need a lot of help from YOU!
For more information please visit The Love Song Project Home page. One or more random winners will receive a $25 ITunes Gift Card just for participating by submitting songs.
- Voting Charts - Current Favorite and Songs Not on the Radio Charts have both been reset with new songs added to each.
You can now also see the 2007 Results clicking on the Results links at Vote For Favorites
- American Idol - This is the last week to see the initial audition rounds in different cities. Lots of funny stuff and definitely some very talanted singers coming
into this years competition. I can't wait to see the next round where the meltdowns begin when the pressure starts to mount.
- NEW LYRICS - We will be doubling the lyrics section at LoveSongs.com this Sunday stay tuned and come back and check it out. We are embarking on a major overhaul of the site which
will include up to 25,000 love song lyrics and some very cool enhancements to the wedding section.
That's all for this weeks update...stop back next Monday February 11th for our next update!
~Vincent James
Wednesday Jan 16th, 2008 - Love Song Project Launched!!
Greetings!
Unbelievable its actually two blog postings in a single month. Its soon going to be raining Cats and Dogs
maybe even on the inside. Here's the scoop of whats new this week:
- Love Song Project - We launched this crazy project Monday January 14th and are now collecting the song title, songwriter and artist for every Love Song that has ever been written.
- Voting Charts - The Alltime Favorite Charts (Song and Artist) and Current Favorite charts were all reset and new songs/artists added to each.
You can now also see the 2007 Results clicking on the Results links at Vote For Favorites
- American Idol - Lots of AI News since last week...another Idol is out of their record label deal (this time Katherine McPhee). That makes 3 Idol Favorites now recording on their own label for future releases (last week Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks were both dropped from their labels).
The whole recording industry is still in the midst of major changes and you'll see more and more famous artists recording for their own labels.
- Idol Auditions - Paula Stalker - A personal music friend of mine was featured AI last night. Paul Marturano is an excellent musician, songwriter and vocalist and back in August he tried out in Philadelphia singing a song about stalking
Paula Abdul. It was all in fun and it was great to see Simon get Paul kicked out of the audition room. You can visit Paul online at Paul Marturano Myspace and also on his site PaulPiano.net once its back up from the crazyness today.
That's all for this weeks update...stop back next week for another update on the Love Song project and more new news!
~Vincent James
Tuesday Jan 9th, 2008 - Happy New Years!
Hello and Happy New Years 2008!
Lots going on for LoveSongs.com and updates will start to unfold over the next two months. First the big big news:
- Love Song Project - Starting Monday January 14th we will be collecting the song title, songwriter and artist for every Love Song that has ever been written.
Please come back next Monday
January 14th for the official Press Release and your opportunity to start submitting songs. When its all done there will be a database where you can search for love songs almost every imaginable way.
- Voting Charts - Both the Current Favorite Love Songs and Favorite Songs Not on Radio charts were updated this past Sunday January 6th (charts reset and new songs added). We will be updating and reseting the other
voting polls this weekend so we can see what kind of votes we get from now until Valentines
- American Idol - AI is back next week Tues/Wed Jan 15-16th with a 4 hour premeire on FOX. This news just in both Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks were released from their major label contracts due to
(you guessed it) insufficient CD sales (record labels are hurting these days). Both artists will continue releasing new music on their own labels so not to worry there's still a whole lot of music coming from these guys.
That's all for this weeks update...stop back next week for our big news release and new news!
~Vincent James
Sunday Nov 12th, 2007 - Update!
Greetings and Happy Turkey Month to all!
The fall has been a blur but I recently came up for air and made our 2nd Voting Chart update this season. There's lots going on
in the entertainment world with new CD's coming out in time for the holidays, the NEXT Great American Band show is progressing and the new season of American Idol
is right around the corner. Here's our current updates for November:
- Charts Updated - Our charts for "Current Favorite Songs" and "Favorite Songs not on Radio" were both updated on 11/11 (don't cha love the symmetry :)). So spread the word and keep those votes coming.
Definitely let me know of other great new songs not on the Radio so we can check them out.
- Manilow MAGIC Tribute Show - We'll be playing full band tribute show on Friday November 23rd at the Towne House in Media/PA. If you are in the
Philadelphia area you can call (610) 566-6141 to make reservations..seating is limited so call early.
- Manilow Concert - Well yes the concert was two months ago in Philly but I remember it like it was last night (and with my memory that's saying something). Seriously though the show was spectacular and Barry was
in great form working the audience into their usual frenzy. Singing was great and the band was top notch...looking forward to Barry's next visit to the City of Brotherly Love.
That's all for now kids...Please have a safe and Happy Thanksiving and check back in December for our next update!
~Vincent James
Saturday Sept 8th, 2007
Greetings and Where did the Summer go???
I hope you all had a great summer..mine went way too fast with so many things going on. I did get a chance to do some traveling down south which was nice
but its great to be back in the Northeast for the upcoming fall weather. I'm thrilled to say our new office help for LoveSongs.com starts next week so
maybe just maybe I'll be able to keep up better (stay tuned!). Here's whats new for now:
- Charts Updated - Our charts for "Current Favorite Songs" and "Favorite Songs not on Radio" were both updated. So spread the word and keep those votes coming.
Definitely let me know of other great new songs not on the Radio so we can check them out.
- Manilow MAGIC - I'm now doing a solo show every Saturday nite at the Towne House in Media/PA. If you are in the
Philadelphia area you should definitely come by some Saturday nite.
- Manilow Concert - Speaking of Barry I'm heading out tonight to see Barry's trip into Philadelphia. Definitely looking forward to seeing one of my favorite
songwriters and performers. Check back for a convert review in this blog here.
That's all for now folks...Please have a great September and check back often because updates will be coming soon!
~Vincent James
Monday July 9th 2007
Greetings and Happy Summer!
Sorry to say the updates to the blog aren't coming any faster. There is some good news on the horizon
though I am bringing in some help for the website so we can keep up better. Starting in August look for monthly newsletter updates, weekly blog updates
and answers to your "Whats That Song?" questions within 1-2 days (as opposed to 1-2 months :)).
Hey did you see any of the Live Earth performances this weekend? I managed to catch many of the highlights from across the world and was impressed. I'm looking
myself for ways to go greener because we all waste too much. I'm not a big fan of the political world (either side) but I'm glad to see someone giving Global Warming
the attention it really deserves.
For the website, our current Favorite Songs chart has been reset this month and both All-time charts will be reset August 1st so get your votes in!
Finally, the MANILOW MAGIC Tribute show is coming along great with two more shows scheduled in August. Check out our new
website at ManilowMagic.net. The website is still in its early stages so look for more updates and a new design later
this summer.
That's all folks...please have a great summer and stay cool its way hot this week especially!
~Vincent James
Monday May 7th, 2007
Did I say this was going to be a weekly blog update :) Geeze all I have to do is blink and 3 months just whiz by like nobody's business. O well we are bringing on
more help starting this summer so I can keep up. Thank you for your patience and here's whats going on:
Favorite Charts Reset - Both the Favorite Current Love Songs and Favorite SOngs NOT on the Radio Charts have been reset this morning with lots of new songs added. Please check it out and remember
you can vote up to 1x/day
American Idol - The one thing I do make time for is my weekly dose of American Idol and yes we are down to the final 4. I'm not surprised by who lasted this long though I was surprised by Jordin' mini-meltdown during Bon-Jovi week last week. This week
it will probably be either Lakisha or Jordin going home unfortunately because Blake is the only guy left. Nothing against Blake his voice and beatbox stuff are definitely great but the girls remaining all have the better voices. I've been rooting for Melinda from day one to make it all the way and we'll find out soon if I get my wish :)
MANILOW MAGIC & More - First two shows for our new Tribute Act are scheduled...if you are in the Philadelphia area check www.VincentJames.com this week for the dates. We will be branching out to the northeast US by the fall so stay tuned!
LoveSongs Newsletter - This is definitely way over due and will be coming out this week to honor Mother's day. If you are not signed up please hop to it (use signup box above) so you can register to win FREE CD's!
That's all I've got for now...hope you all have a great May and a very HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!! this Sunday to all the Moms out there!!
~Vincent james
Thurs Feb 22nd, 2007
Well we made it past Valentines and have finally answered all the outstanding "What's That Song?" questions. I hope
you had a great Valentines and the roses and candy lasted more than a day. Lots going on for our site and the music world..here's just a little:
FREE CDs - That's right starting in March we'll be giving away FREE CD's every month. Sign up for monthly e-newsletter for more
information and your chance to win.
American Idol Guys & Girls - Well like you I watched the guys and girls sing their stuff the last two nights and man the guys
are really in trouble. Maybe just 1-2 of the guys sound like that have a shot while 6 of the girls came ready to win this thing. Lucky for
the guys 6 of them will make it to the final 12 :)
Manilow Magic and More - For all the fans of Barry, John Denver, Bread, Carpenters and Air Supply this is for you. We are putting together
a tribute act called "Manilow Magic and More" that will start playing the Northeast US this Summer. For more info check VincentJames.com starting
in March
Enjoy the rest of February and we'll be back with another update and newsletter in March!
~Vincent james
Thurs Feb 8th, 2007
Valentines is right around the corner and for once I'm planning a low-key holiday only going out to perform 2x during Valentines week.
Four years ago was the total opposite during my "6 Weeks to Valentines Tour" I played 100 shows from New Years to Valentines including 6 performances on Valentines day itself.
If I am up to the marathon run we'll be doing a 5 year Anniversary tour next year - stay tuned!
American Idol is back and if you're like me your hooked once again. I love the bad auditions and the great auditions (for different reasons) and can't
wait to see which ones survive Hollywood week. Each year we get to see many contestants melt down in Hellywood as they realize how difficult the music business
can really be. The ones that make it to the final 12 really are survivors and deserve everything they get just for making it that far.
So many American Idol CD's are out these days with successful launches by Chris Daughtry, Kelli Pickler and now Katherine McPhee. The 2006 season definitely has produced more
artists with real records than any of the previous seasons and it will be interesting to see how many of these artists are able to parlay this initial success into a lasting career.
LoveSongs.com Update - We've added a new chart to LoveSongs.com where you can vote for your favorite song not on radio. We have 7 initial nominees you can vote on including songs by Clay Aiken,
Taylor Hicks, Engelbert, Barry Manilow and more. Check it out on our Voting section on the home page.
Have a great week all...stay warm if you can and ta ta till our next update!
~Vincent james
Sat Dec 9th, 2006 - Update!
We've made several updates to LoveSongs.com and several more are on the way. Here's what we've done so far
1) We moved "Vote for Favorites" & "Whats That Song" to the home page
2) More Love Song Lyrics - We added 50 song lyrics putting us over 250 song lyrics
3) FREE "Christmas Time" Love Song MP3 is available on the home page. This will be redone and released to ready next holiday season
so get this limited version while you can.
That's all for now...please look for one more update before the New Year!
~Vincent james
Mon Nov 6th, 2006 - Update!
Well it certainly has been a while since our last update. 4 four FOUR months which is unbelievable long in this day and age. I mean YouTube.com sold for $ 1.6 Billion and 2006 Elections are almost over
but what I am going to do. We have managed to update the charts 2x this fall so far so we are getting back into the swing of things. Here's whats going on and I hope your find something of interest
among the list:
1) Slightly new look to the website. How do you like it so far? Look for more updates on a weekly basis until we finally nail it around Valentines day :)
2) Love Song Lyrics - We will be adding another 100 lyrics before we hit the new year so stay tuned! Our website stats show this is one of the most popular sections of the website.
3) Barry Manilow Tribute CD - That's right we are putting together a Manilow Tribute CD that will be released in Spring-Summer 2007. We'll be bringing back the best of Barry's songs sung by a diverse group of independent and mainstream artists
4) Custom Love Songs - Despite my life being turned around the last 4 months we did manage to create several new custom love songs recently. I'm always amazed and thankful to God how well these projects turn out. If it were not for the higher power
I would never be able to create songs as beautiful as these.
That's all for now...please look for another update before Thanksgiving which would be Thursday November 23rd in the States. Till then have a great month and keep on listening on them love songs!
~Vincent james
Mon July 3rd, 2006 - Update!
Happy 4th of July Weekend All! Well I was completely embarrassed when I realized its been almost two months since our last update. May and June were both incredibly busy on all fronts and the
time just got away from me. Now that summer is truly here hopefully I can get back on track. Here's whats new and whats upcoming:
1) Congratulations to Taylor Hicks for winning American Idol so you can take my final two picks from our May blog below and switch them. Both Taylor and Katherine should have a decent career ahead of them
as long as they work hard, stay focused, and most of all pick the best songs they can possibly work with (meaning move away from the American Idol songs as quickly as possible like Kelly did). Now if your like me you can't
wait until the next season to see who comes along and to see how Taylor, Katherine, Elliot and Chris fare in the real music business...stay tuned!!
2) LoveSongs.com current favorite song charts finally updated with mostly new songs including those by long time write-in artists Clay Aiken, >Barry Manilow, Michael Bolton, Darren Hayes and Engelbert Humperdinck. The masses
have spoken so now you can vote on your true current LoveSongs favorites not just the ones radio decides to play.
3) Summer Updates - We'll be doubling our song lyric section over the summer and resetting the All Time Favorite Charts this weekend for the 2nd half of the year. We'll also be reworking the home page and wedding section to add more interesting facts and trivia for your entertainment.
That's it for now...look for our next update in mid-July (nope I'm not promising a week this time :)). If you have any questions or suggestions please email them to me at MrLoveSongs@aol.com . Thanks and please have a great 4th of July weekend and summer!
~Vincent james
Mon May 8th, 2006
Good Monday All! Yep just a week late but the pace is quickening. If I stick to my plan this month
we'll have an update every Monday so please check back and see how I'm doing.
Lets talk American Idol for a minute.
My long running favorites Katherine and Taylor are in the final four as well as strong contender Chris and boy can that Elliot sing or what.
For me its really a toss up at this point because they are all extremely talented (as was Paris too). Definitely the best Top 5 bunch since AI began. Though its a tight race I'm still gonna make a prediction for
who will be voted off the next few weeks so here goes:
* Wed May 10th - Sorry Elliot your great voice will not be enough
* Wed May 17th - Chris's next in line to say goodbye - another rocker out before the top
* Wed May 24th - AI Finale and we'll watch Katherine McPhee go all the way with Taylor runner up!
That's my predictions now lets see how they play out :) Here's what's new and coming up on our website:
1) May Newsletter - Our May newsletter is coming out just in time for Mothers Day . If you'd like to receive our monthly newsletter be sure to send me an email at MrLoveSongs@aol.com and put Newsletter Signup
in the subject line
2) Voting Chart - Current Favorite song charts are reset for May with several new songs added so Happy Voting! at Voting Polls
3) More Announcements - More big announcements coming later this month as time is finally on my side to catch up on all things music and love songs!
Look for our next update on Monday May 15th - We'll see how my AI prediction turned out and we'll talk about some great new love songs on the radio these days.
~Vincent james
Mon April 24th, 2006
Hello All! Maybe if I call it a tri-weekly blog I'll be able to keep up with it :) Seriously we are making progress and things are moving forward. Here's whats
goin' on right now:
1) Lyrics Lyrics - We now have lyrics up for 200 of your favorite love songs at Love Song Lyrics . Look for another 100
song lyrics to be added to our site in May to bring us to 300.
2) Voting Chart - Current Favorite song chart will be reset this upcoming weekend so come and get your final votes in for April at Voting Polls
3) Famous Artists - By popular request Links to Famous Artist Websites are now back on our home page. We'll be having a special vote-off this summer to see which artists we should add,
delete or keep on this section.
4) American Idol - New American Idol Poll is now up - Vote for your favorite of the top 6 all doing Love Songs this week!! Click VOTE for American Idol
Look for another real update next Monday May 1st - yes I really will update two weeks in a row :)
~Vincent james
Mon April 3rd, 2006
Greetings All! Did I say look for another update in one week..that was a typo I really meant 3 weeks :) Seriously we are paying more and more
attention to the site every week trying to make it the best we can for you our guests. Here's whats new and upcoming soon:
1) Voting Chart - Current favorite song chart has been reset with several new songs added. Be sure to vote for your favorite this month at
Vote For Favorites . The 1x/day voting thing is going pretty well with just a few people still
having trouble voting because of AOL Dialup IP fun. We will have this permanently fixed by June 1st.
2) Lyrics Lyrics Lyrics - Look for another 80 lyrics to your favorite love songs by next Monday!
3) American Idol - Are you HOOKED like I am?? We'll be adding a Vote for your American Idol Chart after Wednesday's vote so you can start voting here
for your Top 8, then Top 7 and so on and so. My favorite for the final two are Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks with Chris Daughtry and Mandisa right behind them.
4) My Favorite Songs - Speaking of American Idol my two favorite songs this month are "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter (they play this very catchy pop song every time
someone gets voted off) and "Your Beautiful" by James Blunt (this simple little tune caught me off guard initially because it was almost too simple but its very emotional and catchy)
5) GOOGLE April Fools - Didja catch Google's April Fools joke on Saturday April 1st with Google Romance dating service (See Press Release). I thought it was actually a pretty cool idea and wouldn't
be surprised if they bring it back for real at some point (they're into everything else so why not). Speaking of Google we're not placing Google Ad's throughout
the LoveSongs.com website to help support the costs and growth. If we're to have any chance of growing LoveSongs.com into the best possible site it can be
we'll definitely need a few advertisers along the way.
That's all for now...Please have a great spring week and we'll give you another update next Monday...really we will :)

Greetings All! Lots of updates to the website this week. Here's a quick summary:
1) Voting Chart - Our Voting Charts now reset automatically once per day - As long as you're not using dialup you should
be able to vote once per day on each chart. Dialup users may still see problems due to shared IP addresses. Another update sometime
in April should resolve this.
2) Lyrics Lyrics Lyrics - We're now up to over 120 love songs lyrics on our Love Song Blog page.
So if you're looking to find some lyrics without the pesky popup's and spyware check out what we have.
3) Wedding & Party Vendors - Our Wedding Vendor section now lists the top 25 US Markets with over 700 vendors listed. If you are planning a wedding
or party and live near one of these cities please check it out at Wedding & Party Vendors
That's all for now...Please have a great week and groovy St. Patty's day! We'll give you another update next Monday!

Mon March 6th, 2006:
Once again I missed my self-imposed deadline this time by 5 days :) Last few weeks have been much fun. Valentines I ran around all day
doing a mini-tour in the Philadelphia area. Once I recovered from that I took a long short weekend trip at the end of February to San Diego
to perform a custom song I wrote for Dan & Tammy for their 25th Anniversary. Was long because its about 3000 miles away and was short because
I was in San Diego all of 36 hours. I have to say San Diego is a beautiful place and next time I'll definitely try to stay a few more days. My
hotel room looked out on the San Diego Bay which was absolutely amazing.
Spring is sneaking up on us finally and things are warming up a little here in Philadelphia. Have been making some more updates to the
website. We're now up to 21 Cities on our Wedding and Party Vendors Section and our
Current Favorite Songs have now been updated on our Vote for Favorites page.
Also updated is our shopping cart system (we're all PayPal now baby!!!!) so if your buying anything on the site via credit card its as easy as pie whether your
a PayPal member or not.
My task this week is to finally update/fix the voting system so you all can vote more times without breaking the system :) I'll have at least
a temporary fix by the end of this week and a permanent fix before the end of spring.
Here's another crazy prediction....Look for another blog entry in just another week or so ("Beware of the Ide's of March"). I'll update ya on the
voting system and other changes on the way. Have a great week and talk to ya soon!

Mon Feb 13th, 2006:
Well it only took me two weeks to do our 2nd blog update so I'm definitely getting better :) (our first entry took months).
It's so hard being involved in so many day to day activities it does amaze me how some folks are able to post daily
blogs and include great and useful information every time. I definitely tip my hat to them and hopefully our
LoveSongs blog will pick up as we get deeper into 2006. As always please send all blog comments to MrLoveSongs and I'll address
as many questions as I can each week.
My apologies still to those having trouble voting on the site who keep getting the "You have already voted" message. This is especially common
for AOL dialup users unfortunately as AOL shares IP addresses for these customers. Once we're past this crazy week of
Valentines we are committed to reach out to find and implement a better system by April so stay tuned!
Tomorrow is Valentines Day and I hope you'll spend at least some of the time with your loved ones. Valentines Day
is one of best days to tell and show your sweetheart what they really mean to you. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to go out and spend
all kinds of money. Sometimes the best gifts are those that come straight from the heart by showing your creativity and that you really care.
Look for the next blog entry by March 1st with more updates on all sections of the website. Meanwhile please have a great rest of the month
and for those of you on the east coast just keep digging out from that snow :)

Sat Jan 28th, 2006:
Welcome to our very first long awaited blog entry. Nothing special but we finally got it online.
Unfortunately our Guestbook had to be sent to the cleaners due to the spammers who were having way too much fun with it :)
Please send all blog comments to MrLoveSongs and I'll address
as many questions as I can each week.
Well its been a hectic January but things are finally starting to come together with changes to the site.
We've now got the Love Song Blog Section up with more lyrics
coming online each month. We've also got our Wedding & Party Vendors section up and running with 11 cities and more cities
coming online each month. Finally I'm deep into booking another whirlwind Valentines tour which will see me play
8 different venues this Valentines 2/14. Its another freight train and we're headed right for it. For those of you in the Philly area check back later next week for the itinerary (what you didn't
think I was going to play 8 shows the same day in different cities did you??)
My apologies to those voting on the site who keep getting the "You have already voted" message. This is especially common
for AOL dialup users unfortunately as AOL shares IP addresses for these customers. We're working on a better voting system to be
launched by summer which will probably require you to log in.
Look for the next blog entry next Monday as we head straight into February and Valentines Month. Be sure to
plan early for that something special for your loved one. Have a great week and talk to ya next time!
